My taps are leaking dripping or running all the time

The tap is running constantly

If the tap is constantly running, you should try to isolate the leak by turning off the nearest service valve, this is usually found under the sink or wash hand basin and is turned off by using a flat headed screwdriver, turning the valve a quarter turn.

Here’s a video to help you on how to isolate a running tap.

You can turn the tap back on if you need to use it, by turning the service valve back on.

If you are unable to isolate the leak and the tap is still running a lot of water, then give us a call to report the repair.

The outside tap or stop tap is dripping or leaking.

We don’t repair or replace outside taps if you have fitted them yourself. We also do not fit outside taps.

If the tap(s) is leaking, put a tub or pot under it to catch the water.

You can sometimes slow the leak down by turning the stop tap off partially, in a clockwise direction.
