Do I need to be at home if work is being done to the outside of the property?
We would recommend that you are at home if work is being done to the outside of your property to facilitate access if necessary. For example, if there is a leak externally, we might need to turn the water off inside before we can fix it.
All dogs should be kept inside, or out of the work area, to ensure the safety of the operatives and your pets.
Make sure the area the operatives need to work on is free from your belongings so that they can work safely. It would also be advisable to move valuable items indoors until the repair is completed, especially if the operatives need to leave gates open that may make your garden unsecure.
