My room vent has broken or is damaged

Some gas boilers, usually back boilers, need room ventilation to enable them to work correctly. If these types of vents are blocked or damaged, it could starve the boiler of air and result in carbon monoxide being produced. You need to take extra care with these and under no circumstances should you block these vents as a free flow of air is always needed.
