How do I apply for an Intermediate rent home?

What is Intermediate Rent?

Intermediate Rent properties are advertised on Rightmove and these properties are where rent is charged up to 20% less than the average for that area.

If you are in a position where you require immediate/urgent accommodation then please contact your local authority, our checks can take time to process, and the properties may not be ready immediately.

How do I apply?

We receive lots of applications for intermediate rent properties and they are often let very quickly. To save you time filling out an application form, please email Home.Choices@futureshg.co.uk with your name, contact number and the address of the advertised property to express your interest and we will let you know if it is still available.

If you don't hear back from us within 10 working days, you can assume the property has been let. If you wish for us to keep your details for any future properties that become available, please let us know in your email.

Please be aware that viewings are not arranged until the full application process is complete and all checks have been carried out.

What happens next?

If you have not heard from us within 10 working days, the property will be under offer (subject to checks).

If we contact you about your application, we will carry out an affordability assessment with you and you need to submit 3 months bank statements and 3 months’ payslips so we can do a credit check. If you have had more than one address in the last 3 years, include these in your email for the credit check.  You also need to send us a copy of Photo ID which can be a driving licence or passport.

We need payslips to verify wages and national insurance is being paid and then we need bank statements to verify you have a working UK bank account.

I want to accept the property

If you wish to accept the property, we will require the following before signing the tenancy agreement and handover of the keys.

Pay 5 weeks rent as a deposit, held with the Deposit Protection Scheme.

Pay 4 weeks rent in advance.

We will then agree a date and time for you to sign for the property and you can move into your new home!
